Youtuber 1981TimeLord made an epic extended version of the War Doctor’s regeneration sequence.
Mixed feelings, because I’m glad Eccleston stayed away from the trainwreck that is the 50th, but it would have been nice to see a bit more of his face.
And I don’t understand why, if a random YouTuber can do this, the BBC couldn’t.
fancyadancebrigadier asked: The Moffat-hate makes me wish I didn't start to watch Doctor Who at all tbh. I've not seen anyone get abused the way he does and he's a genuinely lovely guy in real life. He gets painted as the villain and it's just so unfair.
What sucks is this probably brings up bad memories for him. I mean he has to hide it in public and all because its disrespectful for fans of the show. We do get a say, yes. BUT to make it known with use of horrible words is not the right way. He probably feels like he’s being verbally bullied.
I read an articular about how he was bullied about his views when he was younger and this just makes me so upset. He’s not an alien or a monster (even though sometimes we joke about him being one) We shouldn’t truly mean this at all. He’s just like you and me. A Normal human being and he is a true fan and is so excited to be a part of this show. We all wish we could be part of this. He is just living most of our dreams.
He could have completely been a dick and changed the show up completely. He took in the fans considerations and interests why we called him Eleventh Doctor. He thought of us and just also found a really clever way to move around the rules and also put a bit of Moffat Magic into the show. He changed it without really changing it. If that makes sense. He needs to get a lot more credit okay because he’s really a great writer.
(Ah, sorry i had to post this because major Moffat love)
